BEST SEAFOOD RESTAURANT ! I Had the 18 oz lobster tail , Biggest I ever had ! my grandson had the crab legs & clams and my son had the triple lobster tail dinner. Everything was excellent ! Just one suggestion. Please put more chicken selections for people like my wife who doesn't eat seafood or beef. Youells is well worth trip !!!
The atmosphere is great, like at the beach. The staff is very friendly and open. The food is off the chain. I am a foodie of sorts and you'll truly enjoy Youell's. My fiance and I had some raw oysters, awesome, lobster bisque, insane, lump crab meat, savory, seafood marscapone, to die for. The quality of the food and ambiance is worth the trip.
I certainly recommend Youell's Oyster House if you love sea food the way I do. I ordered a seafood platter which consist of crabcakes, shrimps and I must say that the crabcakes was real crab, and the shrimps were big and I also had a nice size fillet of fish, along with roasted potatoes and vegetables. They serve you a nice hot roll. I also loved their tartar sauce. I had a nice cold glass of Blue Moon Beer with a slice of orange on the side. It couldn't get any better than that! The atmosphere was very cozy and the service was great. ( JUST LOVELY)
Was in town for business and had the opportunity to join my brother and his SO for dinner. They suggested this place...and I'm glad they did. I love seafood so I always take the chance to enjoy it when I can. As I understood it, Youell's has been around a long time. This location is sitting in the middle of suburban neighborhood, like it has been there forever. After sorting out a bottle of wine we perused the menu, deep with classic seafood offerings. I opted for some raw oysters while my companions chose scallops and crab cakes. Everything was deliciously prepared and presented. The dining room atmosphere was cozy and we had no problems making dinner conversation. I will definitely return the next time I'm in the area. Recommended.
I love going here. The food and service are always great. All of the seafood dishes are cooked perfectly and there's great tasting options for those who might not like seafood as well. If you have any food allergies, they are very accommodating in making substitutions.
Food was excellent. Service was so quick, it was great! Very clean. Manager came over to ask how our meal was. Server was very attentive. We'll definitely be back.
Celebrated my daughter's 31st birthday last evening with another great meal at Youell's. We started with Lobster Bisque, which we both said is the best we've had, and ended by sharing a piece of Blueberry Carrot Cake, that was delicious , as were both our entrees. Our server Frank was also very attentive and added to the great time, thank you again.
This is a LONGTIME Valley favorite. Great seafood served many many ways. Seafood combinations are delectable. Being going here since they were in Easton. So say 30 yrs.
Both the quality of the food and the choices are phenomenal as is the service! We are one and a half hours away and always feel like the ride is worth it.
We just had a family birthday dinner celebration and I can't say enough great things about this place. We had reservations and when we arrived the table was ready. The waiter was attentive and cordial. The meals were amazing. Would give 10 stars if I could!!
We live in the neighborhood and went for Valentines eve, we were seated right away at our reservation time, the service was polite and attentive, and the food was delicious from appetizer to desert. Every time we eat here we are never disappointed!!!
This is the best seafood place around. Everything is so fresh and delicious. They never give you a bad experience here. Their steaks, lobsters, and crabs are amazing. I can come here everyday and eat. Best place to go.
Absolutely wonderful dinner! Ashley, our server, was delightful. Very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu, and very efficient. The food was amazing! My husband ordered the tuna tartare, and I had the half-dozen oysters. For dinner I had the San Francisco Cioppino, and my husband had the broiled Seafood combo. Everything was very fresh and absolutely delicious! My Riesling was perfect, and my husband tried BOTH kinds of Bloody Mary's! The atmosphere is nice, you're not sitting too close to the other tables. Will definitely come again!
Valley natives will have taken note that this essay has not included a visit to Youell’s, that long-term favorite…The reason is simple. If you’ve lived in the Lehigh Valley, are interested in seafood at all, and haven’t yet visited Youell’s to form your own opinion, I can’t help you.
Lehigh Valley Style
Youell’s is famous for one decadent side – the Chantilly potato…The fluffy, twice-baked dish somehow reels the taster into eating the entire plate. My husband, who ordered a very creamy, rich crab imperial, said, “the potatoes are almost as good as the crab and I usually don’t even touch the potatoes."
In an effort to understand Christian’s purist ideals, I ordered the jumbo lump crab meat heated with brown butter. I could swear that this meat was pulled out of the bay that morning.
The Allentown Times
Every city should be so lucky to have a neighborhood seafood restaurant like Youell’s Oyster House…Their soft shell crabs are to die for…just go when soft shells are in season. Maryland jumbo lump crabmeat dishes, clams, oysters, it’s all good. Full bar and early bird specials.
Lehigh Valley Metromix
My companion’s Maryland crab cake, ordered based upon my recommendation from a previous visit, was just as I remembered. The mountain of 1/3 pound of jumbo lump Eastern Shore Maryland crabmeat, browned at its peak from broiling, fell apart at first bite because there was no filler to hold it together. In combination with the roasted red pepper cream sauce in which it was served, this entrée was a standout.
The Morning Call
The not-to-be-missed appetizer, however, is the best lobster bisque I have ever tasted…this is a special entry in my book of taste memories.
